Long time no post!

But I'm alive, seriously.

As I posted in TGUK -

"Kayso. I'm getting a bit worried.

I was finally getting somewhere - spoke to a Doctor, who spoke to the PCT, who got her to refer me to a Mental Health Clinic for an assessment so that I could show I was mentally stable, so that the PCT would fund my referral to Charing Cross.

Well - on the 21st August I had that assessment. It went perfectly well, and I was told that I would soon get a letter telling me my appointment with a psychiatrist, which would be in a couple of weeks.

I never got that letter.

Two months later - I called them and thse secretary had no idea what was going on, and later the nurse (Tim) that I had the assessment with called. He basically wouldn't take any reponsibility for it and acted as if he had no idea what was happening, and that he would get right on it.

That was 16 days ago - I still haven't gotten an appointment.

I'm going to call tomorrow and ask what is going on, but like.. I suffer with social anxiety, meaning that making these phone calls is bloody difficult for me, but without that appointment I can never get my referral.

If it's still not done, I'm going to contact the Doctor who has been helping with all of this for advice."

What I've decided to do, upon a friend's advice and my irritance towards the MHC, is I'm going to call the surgery on monday morning and try to book an appointment with that Doctor (Dr. Hill) to ask her about it.

This friend got funding for his referral based on his assessment, which sounds totally right - there should be no need for be to see a psychiatrist if the assessment went fine, right? It'd only be to spend weeks talking about utter bollocks when I have no Trans-related issues, and it would just take longer to get the referral.

So I'ma ask her to contact the MHC for me, as it'd be much easier. (Seeing as how they pretty much ignore me.)

Just got a letter through the door for my appointment at that youth clinic. C:

It's next Thursday at 4PM - luckily the place is just opposite the Playhouse Theatre so I'll be able to find it easily. No idea how long it'll last. With someone named, "Shelly". :D

So!

I just got back from The Limes.

Dr. Hill was, as always, totally awesome - and she liked my new blue hair, although I got odd looks from old people.

Rightkayso!

She asked me how I was, then started digging through her folder. "You see, the day after our appointment, I was looking through this magazine - we get GP magazines, you see - and there was an article on gender issues, and it had some places to contact.."

We discussed Charing Cross Hospital/Claybrook Gender Identity Clinic, and how I had also researched it, and she showed me links in the folded up, torn-out article for gender issues - and we laughed at how I had been to every single one of them. (Like Mermaids 'n' Beaumont, 'n' various others.)

She then told me how for Charing Cross I need to be 18 which is fine because I nearly am, and that she will need to ask for funding.

She began writing an e-mail giving information about me, asking questions so that she could provide a strong case - my history as Transgendered, and all of that boring junk that I don't need to type here~

So, yes!

Basically.

She will ask the PCT for funding because Charing Cross is out of the area in West London, and it's most likely that we will get funding - then when we do which will prolly be in a couple of weeks, she will refer me to Charing Cross~

I'm really nervous about the appointment on Tuesday - but I'm also really happy about getting to see Sophie early next month, hopefully on the 1st.

I found the TGUK community last night and they're so nice~

Solike. I posted up my little Trans-history and three people commented giving me great help about, like, Charing Cross 'n' whatnot~ (Including telling me to get there with an hour before or after to spare, because there's a nice cemetary. XD Wickedawesome)

So, basically!

If Dr. Hill refers me - then it'll probably be 4-6 months for my first appointment at the Claybrook/Charing Cross Gender Clinic in London. I'll go, get diagnosed 'n' shizzle and basically will be have to be living as male - no problem.

In August I'll have my inheritance, and I plan to re-deck my wardrobe (shoppingspreelol~) with all male clothes, God yes. And I'll be getting my hair cut, 'n' all that shizzle - and when searching for a job, I shall be out as a Transman.

Then after the first appointment I should get a second appointment - that will take another 4-6 months to wait. At said appointment, if all has gone well, I should hopefully get prescribed T. :3

Also, I need to get my name legally changed before, like, the second appointment.

All in all, I'm very happy with where this is going - I've got prolly just under a year's worth of full preperation. C:

I've been saying that so much lately - I don't know why. XD

But, anyway.

Ever since that last little burst of, "IDON'TWANTHORMONESNOGOAWAY." I've been doing a lot better. I've gotten to the point where I no longer need to beg people like poor Bas for confirmation.

It's taken a while, but getting off of the computer and talking to my family and speaking to Dr. Hill has made me realise exactly what I want - I can't just think about how life will be, I have to live my life to really see what the changes will be.

Basically - I plan to transition. It's definate now, and I'm sure my family will deal with it, although it will be awkward. I love them, and I'm relying on them to try and cope, and I'm sure they will.

Sophie is absolutely lovely about it and I know she'll support me either way. Although now I have to quote her XD -

I love her so much. X3 Even if she is just a dirty little pervert - she's still absolutely wonderful and she makes me feel so positive about this.

Hayley/Danyata also makes me feel great about this, because from the start she has been so very supportive and caring and I know that she will be happy with whatever I do - she has been the best friend to me throughout all of this.

I know that Elizabeth and I are growing apart, but with me sorting myself out I hope that we'll be able to be close again because I love her and I want her to one day see me as a man, even if it will be difficult - especially considering her slight fear of men. I trust that she'll try, and I adore her for that. Her quiet support kept me going for so many years.

So, yes!

The youth clinic-thingie is going to contact me as soon as they've sorted out appointments for me, and of course on the 20th I'll see Dr. Hill and I think I'll see her alone this time, not with my Mother, to make it a bit easier to say that I wish to transition in the future.

I cannot see myself as a woman in the future. I have stopped wearing make-up, I have stopped wearing feminine clothing except when it's for my family and overall I just.. I don't know. I'm not insecure anymore - I don't feel like I need to cover myself in crap to be attractive.
Sophie said that I was beautiful today, and that is reassurance enough for the rest of my life.

So many years of research coming to an end! It's quite bizarre. I need to ask someone about the dangers - I know that T increases risk of heart disease, and diabetes which I'm prone to as it's in my genes, and it shortens your life.
I'll need some guidance and support in healthy living, too. I've taken up cycling and will hopefully at some point be able to cycle somewhere other than a circle in the garden because I keep crashing into trees and the lawn mower. >>;
I need to sort out my diet, too. Man cannot live on potatoes and cheese alone.

C: The Doctor I went to see before is so awesome.

Someone called this morning and I heard my Mum going, "Anna?" [It still takes a while to register that that's my name - I don't know if this is good or bad!] "She's in bed." then she came in my room and rudely disturbed my being asleep at 10AM.

She's so undeniably cool - most of the Doctors in that place are twatty, but she went out of her way to research GID-related clinics to help me.

So she's going to do some digging and researching, and my appointment is on Tuesday 20th June at 5PM. C: I feel groovy to be her first Trans patient.

Kayso.

My Mother is writing a crime story.

She wants me to type out, edit and "improve" it.

She's good with stories, just has a bit of trouble putting them into words - plus her spelling and grammar needs major work.

But the fact is that it will take me a fucking long time to do it, I started a couple of days ago, 'n'.. I've told her that I want her to finish it before I type it up and then she can make alterations - because she's said 50 times before that she will write this story, but only starts it.

She's written a few chapters, but I still want her to finish it, because she never bloody finishes anything and I refuse to waste time on a dead project for her.

So what does she do?

"OH SHUT THE FUCK UP, YOU WEREN'T GOING TO FUCKING DO IT ANYWAY, FUCK OFF."

She's so lovely.

I'm getting pissed off with her attitude problem, she acts like a kid and I'm fed up with having to play the role of the adult.

Also if I mention anything about my problems she just starts going, "WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO BE DEPRESSED ABOUT!? OH I MIGHT AS WELL GO AND FUCKING KILL MYSELF."

I hate when she keeps saying that.

Everyone knows that our family has a history of being overly stressed out and depressed - Tracy and Marie have had counselling for it, now I need counselling for it, and my Mother has had a shitty life but remains in denial about how she feels. I know for a fact that she's tried to commit suicide before, she used to tell me how much she hates me and when she was my age she was a major self harmer.

I'm pissed off with it all.

The sooner I get out of here, the better.
